Hello! Guess what? Talking Fruits turns one week old tomorrow! Thanks to all of you who took the time out to read my work and bore all my frenetic site changes throughout the week with fortitude. Here's to more silliness and fresh fruits to come! Expect more in-your-face situations and new characters in the future (including that lady orange we all want to see more of).
Anyway that's it, enjoy today's comic!

This strip finally puts to rest the question posed by Orange in Comic #8: does Grape merely talk and function as a whole "grape" or can he subdivide himself into his individual components upon necessity? The answer is a magnificent, breath-taking "yes" to the second option (or maybe he's just fooling the Banana and really did get a false diploma).
In making the comic I realize I could have done away with the "Two Days Later" panel but I wanted to draw the flower. To my consternation, Grape's explanation in the fourth panel is one of the longest I've ever made, and I had to redo it about five times to get the positioning right.
Comic strip writing does involve to some degree an instinctive way with words - you have to make the characters say the "right" words and make sure that the dialogue fits the panel and looks clean and readable. A perfect hobby for aspiring creative writers!
